CS4HS
Today's economy is
fueled by companies which rely heavily on computer and information
technology jobs. By bringing high school
math and science faculty together with computer science educators and
professionals we can provide high school faculty with additional tools
they may use to engage students with computing concepts in the context
of traditional high school science and math courses. The CS4HS workshop is an joint effort by the private and academic sectors to help bring computer science concepts into high schools. Together we can help students gain a better understanding of computer science and the many opportunities that are opened up to them.
The CS4HS program at Columbia University focuses on high schools in the New York metropolitan area. Our first free workshop will be held July 7-8, 2011.
