CS4706:  Exercise 1 "Transcribing Speech Sounds"

(1) Do exercises 7.1 and 7.2 from Jurafsky & Martin.  

(2) Which parts of the exercises were particularly difficult (e.g., you think several different symbols might be used to represent a sound, you think the word might be pronounced in several different ways, etc.).  Which sounds seem to be most easily confused?
