The Cryptography Lab at Columbia University is a research group in the Department of Computer Science which develops sound mathematical foundations for applications requiring security. The lab is comprised of an intersection of members from the Systems Security Center and the Theory of Computation group. We are also affiliated with the cybersecurity center of the Data Science Institute.
Our interests cover a broad variety of topics, including: secure computation, cryptographic complexity, strong public key encryption, private data mining, cryptocurrencies, hardware side channel attacks + cryptographic counter measures, and connections to learning theory.
