I'm a researcher at Columbia University, immensely fortunate to be advised by Carl Vondrick. I also collaborate with the wonderful Andrew Owens on cross-modal learning, Alexandra Horowitz on olfaction/behavior.

My research interests are in cognitive neuroscience, computer vision, and multi-sensory learning. I would like to scientifically study perception in minds, brains, and machines: emergent from sensory experience & wired by functional organization.

I've recently worked on invariant object representations from a machine perception perspective, including invariance to occlusion and viewpoint variation, as well as invariant olfactory representations through cross-modal integration with vision.

Previously, I graduated from Columbia with a B.S. in Computer Science, where I was introduced to research by Shuran Song and teaching by Paul Blaer. I am also an alumnus of Robert College of Istanbul, where I completed my high school education.
