Internet of Things
Many Internet of Things gadgets contain microphones and/or cameras. Devices want to offer voice control, robot vacuum cleaners want to avoid obstacles and things that shouldn't be vacuumed up (e.g., wires and shoelaces), and more. But these devices pose privacy risks, including government surveillance.
Resolved: that law enforcement should be permitted to obtain warrants compelling third-party service providers to turn on IoT devices to capture audio and video recordings inside the homes of suspected criminals, where there is probable cause to believe that doing so would capture evidence of criminal activity.
