- The RTP gateway is an experimental application level tool which
enables rate controlling between two RTP video or audio sessions through
format conversion (transcoding) and frame dropping.
The gateway translates the following video formats:
- JPEG to H.261
- NV to H.261
- H.261 to H.261
It translates PCMU audio to LPC; all other packets are forwarded as is.
