I am a Ph.D. student in the Theory Group and the Cryptography Lab in the Computer Science department at Columbia University, where I am fortunate to be co-advised by Daniel Hsu and Allison Bishop.
I received my joint B.A. and M.A. in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania, where I was also Chair of the Penn Undergraduate Math Society
My current research is on crytpographic approaches to the adversarial machine learning problem and the dynamics of first order optimization algorithms on nonconvex landscapes. I have also worked on provable algorithms for nonconvex optimization problems in machine learning and provable obfuscation guarantees from simple assumptions.
